Vintage Floor Lamp with Integrated Tray Table

A reading lamp and a side table in one slim footprint — the kind of clever mid-century thinking that put a little glass tray right where a cup of coffee or a paperback wants to live, halfway up the column. Joel found it in a Capitol Hill apartment being cleared out, its column lightly pitted and its wiring long past safe. He polished the metal back to a soft sheen, fitted a fresh ivory linen drum shade, and rewired the whole thing to current code. Set it beside a wing chair and it throws a warm, even pool of light exactly where you’d want to sink in with a book.
