Danish Walnut Credenza with Sliding Doors

The grain runs uninterrupted across both sliding doors — a sign that whoever built this cared enough to bookmatch the panels properly. The brass pulls are the originals, a little warm with age but solid. This credenza came out of a split-level in West Seattle that had been owned by the same couple since 1961; the wife had used it as a linen cabinet in the hallway, which is why it smells faintly of cedar sachets when you open it. The four tapered legs have been checked and re-glued where one had worked slightly loose — they’re solid now, and the stance is perfect.
