Silver-Leaf Carved Settee in Aubergine Leather

A baroque-revival loveseat that doesn’t whisper — the frame is hand-carved with a scrolled crest and cabriole legs, finished in silver leaf, and wrapped in aubergine leather buttoned into a deep diamond tuft. The woman who owned it kept it in a room she called “the good parlor,” which means it was rarely sat upon and often admired, and it shows: the tufting is crisp, the leather barely creased. A matching wing armchair (pictured) is available with it as a set for a proper statement, or the settee stands on its own as the boldest thing in the room. Reserved pending pickup.
